The starting point
Show the character of the photography and make it easier to choose a session. The gallery had to be easy to update independently, and the photographs needed to look good on phones too.
Website / Photography
A portfolio designed to grow.

Recording of the actual website. Photographs by Artur Zawadzki.
Project story
We began by replacing a demo website with Artur's real portfolio. We then developed the photographs, services, gallery and dedicated domain. I built both the part seen by the photographer's clients and the back end where Artur can continue developing the website himself.

I am responsible for building and developing the website: its layout, gallery, services section, mobile version and technical SEO. The photographs are by Artur Zawadzki.
The full collection remained available and editable in the WordPress dashboard.
The October 2026 stage: more photographs on demand, with two columns on mobile.
The move to a dedicated domain, with the previous addresses redirected.
My work on the project
The starting point was WordPress with the Novo theme and Elementor. I replaced the demo content with Artur's own material: the opening section, an introduction to the photographer, session packages and photographs. I removed elements inherited from the sample installation that did not suit his real offer. I built the layout around actual images instead of forcing the photography into a rigid template.
I connected the gallery to native portfolio posts and categories. Filters organise the types of sessions, while new work can be added through the dashboard. The photographs remained in the media library. This approach allows the portfolio to grow without rebuilding the code manually after every new session.
Further refinements addressed the placement of photographs in the slider, the proportions of service cards and whether faces remained visible on a phone. I refined the session covers and the main image display separately. When the offer changed, I adjusted the images assigned to it while keeping the two parts of the website distinct.
I expanded the presentation of session types, descriptions and navigation. The offer is editable, and contact details appear where visitors make their decision. We also prepared additional service and collaboration pages; some were later removed from the public menu as the offer changed.
I made a backup before starting the work. I organised HTTPS, readable URLs, the privacy policy, the sitemap and crawler access to the essential pages. I enabled page and browser caching and repaired a missing Elementor stylesheet. After making the changes, I checked page responses and appearance.
The domain change involved more than the address of the home page. I organised redirects for the previous domains and their HTTP, HTTPS and www variants. I also checked deeper paths, including the gallery and blog, footer links and the sitemap. Email continuity had to be preserved during the change.
The gallery gained two columns on mobile, an initial set of 18 photographs and a “Show more photos” button. All 86 photographs remained in the portfolio. The first visit therefore does not require scrolling through the entire collection, and visitors decide when they want to see the rest.
After updates, we returned to the layout, offer, contact details, headings and indexing. I also prepared backups and organised the hosting back end. New visual proposals and preparations for subsequent migrations are further stages, not completed implementations.
The opening section, photographer profile, offer, gallery categories and cropping adjustments.
Backup, HTTPS, URLs, caching, sitemap and checks of the public views.
Additional service and collaboration pages, prepared for editing in the dashboard.
Redirects from previous addresses and checks that deeper paths continued to work.
Layout checks after back-end changes and updates.
Two columns, 18 photographs initially, progressive loading and service corrections.
Backups and preparation for further hosting work. This stage remains in development.
Further work on the portfolio and back end is agreed with the photographer. Artur Zawadzki remains the author of every photograph; my work is the website and its ongoing development.
